Here are some really good tips on being your own trader and not a professional trader. I sincerely believe that this is a great time to trade your own stocks. It isn’t hard to do much better than the mutual fund managers. I publish my results on my site all of the time and I regularly beat the vast majority of the mutual funds on the market. Part of the reason that I do this is because I am not trading tens of millions of dollars so therefore I can dump a dog stock and jump on a stallion without fear of changing the market. I call it “dancing with the elephants” and it is a critical strategy for regularly beating the market.
